GOSHEN — Retired author Helen Good Brennemen, 68, of 1228 Greencroft Drive, formerly of 516 E. Waverly Ave., died at 9:10 am Thursday (Jan. 13, 1994) in the Greencroft Nursing Center where she had been admitted on May 13, 1974 She had been ill with multiple sclerosis since 1963.
She was bom Nov 26, 1925, in Harrisonburg, Va. As Helen Good, she married Virgil J. Brenneman on Nov. 3, 1946, in Amsterdam, Holland. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Joe (Tobi) Goldfus of Frederick, Md., and Mrs Carl (Beki) Deman of Indianapolis; two sons, Don of Surrey, B. C., and John of Middlebury; one foster (daughter, Mrs. Jack (Loretta) Birky of Elmira, Ore.; nine grandchildren four great grandchildren; and two brothers. Lewis Good Jr. of Lanham. Md., and Alton Good of Chambersburg, Pa.

Author of Best-Selling Books for Mothers Dies at 68 in Goshen
Goshen, Ind. - Helen Good Brenneman, author of two long-time best-selling books published by Herald Press. Scottdale, Pa., died Jan. 13 at Greencroft retire-ment community. She was 68.
Her two most popular books, Meditations for the New Mother and Meditations for the Expec-tant Mother, continue to appear almost monthly on the Herald Press top 10 best-seller list.
These two books have been in print continuously since they were first published in 1953 and 1968, respectively. The New Mother is in its 44th printing, with 480,500 copies in print, and The Expectant Mother is in its 27th printing, with 204,500 copies in print.
She also wrote several other earlier Herald Press books, now out of print.
